Our key milestones

This page is a general overview of Skyrora’s accomplishments and updates worthy

mention to better your understanding of what we aim to achieve and the smaller steps that enable us to reach such objectives. Since the discontinuation of the Black Arrow programme in 1971, the UK space sector has almost entirely focused on satellite manufacture and development.

Satellite development provides an addressable market due to the vast number and quality of satellite manufacturers in the UK compared to the lack of launch vehicles and government regulations that would enable launch from the UK. The satellite to launch vehicle market is currently rendered unequal.

To address such a market, Skyrora are rapidly working towards putting the UK back in space with the aim to launch from UK soil by 2023. This news feed aims to highlight the key milestones and all small updates in which Skyrora are driving the UK to launch status.
